Collease prepares for LEZ

The London emission Zone changes 3rd January 2012

The LEZ moves up a grade on 3rd January 2012. Collease is preparing its fleet and customers for this deadline. All our customers are being contacted to discuss if their routes are affected. We have new 26t/18t and 15t fridge vehicles and new Tractor units arriving to beat the dealine for key customers. Other vehicles are being fitted with Eminox systems to ensure they are compliant by our Group company http://www.norfolktruckandvan.co.uk.

From January 3rd 2012 all trucks entering London must be to Euro 4 emissions standard.

"It is particularly challenging to manage some our specialist vehicles throughout the LEZ change. Quite a lot of our vehicles with expensive specialist temperature controlled and construction bodies were  purchased with intended lives of more than five years. We are investing heavily in emission systems and new vehicles to support our customers through this change" says Martin Drewery, Fleet Manager
